This gold coin is the culmination of the popular "Queen's Beasts" series, produced by The Royal Mint. The series is inspired by the majestic statues that guarded the entrance to Westminster Abbey on the day of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation.
The issuance of this series of coins began in 2016, and from the very start it has attracted considerable interest from both collectors and investors.
To mark the occasion, a coin has been issued featuring the queen surrounded by all 10 beasts:

• The Griffin of Edward III
• The Unicorn of Scotland
• The Red Dragon of Wales
• The Black Bull from Clarence
• The Plantagenet Falcon
• The Beauforts of Yale
• The Mortimers' White Lion
• Hanover's White Horse

A coin made of pure gold will be a beautiful addition to your collection.
The reverse, designed by Jody Clark, features all ten of the Queen’s Beasts, with a profile portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the center.
The obverse, of course, features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin’s face value is engraved, along with the inscription “ELIZABETH II D G REG F D”—acronyms standing for “Dei Gratia Regina” (Latin for “Queen by the Grace of God”) and “Fidei defensor” (Latin for “Defender of the Faith”).
