This unique one-ounce gold coin is the latest addition to the Lunar series issued by Australia’s Perth Mint. With this release, the mint continues its tradition of producing bullion coins featuring the zodiac signs of the Chinese lunar calendar, a tradition it began back in 1996, when the world saw the first coin in the Lunar I series.

The highest gold fineness, elegant design, and the series’ recognizability make this coin an ideal investment.

The tiger is the third of the twelve animals associated with the ancient Chinese calendar—a coin bearing its image is a must-have in any Lunar collection. The Year of the Tiger begins on February 1, 2022. Why not start it off with the Mint and a coin from the Lunar III series?

On the reverse side of the coin, you can admire the image of a beautiful and powerful tiger at the top. The animal’s silhouette and bared fangs emphasize its strength and dominance. Apart from this image, only the inscription “TIGER 2022” and the Chinese character for “Tiger” are featured. The letter “P,” the mint’s symbol, is also prominently displayed there.

A portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by a caption, appears on the obverse of the coin. The obverse also features the word “AUSTRALIA,” the face value, and the weight and fineness of the gold.

For larger orders, prices are negotiable.
