The coin features a micro-engraved maple leaf with the number “18” visible under magnification, which serves as an additional safeguard against counterfeiting. In addition, each coin is packaged in a special CertiPack with a certificate of authenticity signed by the Royal Canadian Mint’s chief assayer.
