The Vienna Philharmonic gold coin is minted from the highest quality gold in honor of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra by the Austrian Mint (Münze Österreich). It is the first investment coin to be issued in euros. Its face value is 50 euros.
The coin is extremely popular, particularly among investors from North America, Japan, and, of course, Europe. It is also one of the most popular coins among customers of the Mint of Poland.
The Austrian Mint is owned by the Austrian Central Bank, which guarantees the fineness and purity of the metal.
The obverse of the coin depicts the organ of the concert hall in Vienna, as well as its face value, weight, fineness, and date of issue. The reverse features symphonic instruments such as a harp, cello, and several pairs of violins, surrounded by the inscription "Wiener Philharmoniker."
The Vienna Philharmonic gold coin is legal tender with a worldwide reputation. According to the World Gold Council, in 1992, 1995, and 1996, the Philharmonic was the best-selling bullion coin in the world. The Vienna Philharmonic is the first bullion coin minted from pure gold to be issued in the euro currency.
Note: Coins minted before 2002 are in shillings, while coins issued from 2002 to the present are in euros. Coins are allocated randomly and depend on current stock levels.

The bars and coins offered by Mennica Skarbowa are products from reputable mints affiliated with the London Bullion Market Association, including: Heraeus, Argor Heraeus, Valcambi, Metalor, C.Hafner, Perth Mint, Münze Österreich, PAMP, Umicore, Rand Refinery, UBS, Degussa, or other issuers listed in the product parameters. Goods included in the so-called unsorted gold and silver may be an exception. The choice of bar manufacturer is made at random at the order fulfillment stage and depends on the Company's current stock levels.
