The Chinese Panda is a bullion coin with a 40-year tradition. It was first issued in 1983. Initially, it was minted in 900 fineness, and since 1989, the highest fineness of 999 has been used.
In addition, it is one of the few bullion coins that changes its appearance every year. Since its first issue, we have been able to admire a new reverse design every year. The exceptions are 2001 and 2002, when the design was frozen. However, this was not well received by the market, and since 2003, the annual design change has been reinstated.
The reverse side of the coin changes its appearance every year, but it always depicts at least one panda in its natural habitat.
Since its first issue, the obverse has invariably depicted the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. The edge bears a Chinese inscription denoting the People's Republic of China, as well as the year of minting.
The reverse side varies depending on the year of minting. Coins are assigned randomly.

The bars and coins offered by Mennica Skarbowa are products from reputable mints affiliated with the London Bullion Market Association, including: Heraeus, Argor Heraeus, Valcambi, Metalor, C.Hafner, Perth Mint, Münze Österreich, PAMP, Umicore, Rand Refinery, UBS, Degussa, or other issuers listed in the product parameters. Goods included in the so-called unsorted gold and silver may be an exception. The choice of bar manufacturer is made at random at the order fulfillment stage and depends on the Company's current stock levels.
