Germanium is one of the most important raw materials for the production of optical fibers. As an optical fiber, it plays a key role in the global expansion of fiber optic networks and 5G mobile networks. Another important area of application is infrared optics, where crystalline germanium is processed into infrared-transmitting glass and lenses. These are essential for the production of night vision goggles and thermal imaging cameras.
Another important customer is the plastics industry, which uses the raw material in oxide form as a polymerization catalyst. The metal is also used as a semiconductor in electronics and photovoltaics.

*The goods are located in a customs warehouse in Germany – delivery of goods not subject to VAT in Poland in accordance with Article 22(1) of the VAT Act. The agreement is concluded from the date of payment for a period of 1 year. It is not possible to physically collect the Goods from the Free Warehouse. Mennica Skarbowa guarantees the possibility of selling the Goods at market price.

The bars and coins offered by Mennica Skarbowa are products from reputable mints affiliated with the London Bullion Market Association, including: Heraeus, Argor Heraeus, Valcambi, Metalor, C.Hafner, Perth Mint, Münze Österreich, PAMP, Umicore, Rand Refinery, UBS, Degussa, or other issuers listed in the product parameters. Goods included in the so-called unsorted gold and silver may be an exception. The choice of bar manufacturer is made at random at the order fulfillment stage and depends on the Company's current stock levels.
