The reverse depicts two field mice, captured in a moment of playful frolicking on corn cobs. In addition, there is the mint mark (P) and the Year of the Mouse inscription in English and Chinese. The reverse was designed by Ing Ing Jong.
The obverse features a bust of Elizabeth II. It also includes information such as the country of issue (Australia), the coin's face value (1 DOLLAR), weight (1 oz), and purity (9999).
