Although the Warsaw University of Technology has its roots in the 19th century, in 1915 it began a new chapter – regaining its independence and transforming itself into a modern university with Polish as the language of instruction. It was this moment, symbolizing the birth of modern Polish technical education, that was commemorated with the issue of a gold collector coin.
