The silver coin Christmas Gifts from The Royal Canadian Mint is a great way to get into the holiday spirit. The Mint continues the theme introduced in 2020.
This is a unique 3D design. The reverse features two elements cast in 92.5% silver – Santa Claus and three cheerful elves.
The Canadian mint has literally brought this coin to life – tilt it, and three industrious elves begin to spin around Santa Claus, who is seated surrounded by presents and reading letters from well-behaved children.
The magic of Christmas is enclosed under a transparent dome with a wooden base, allowing you to view the coin while watching the busy elves and Santa Claus.
The uniqueness of this coin is evident in its 3D motif and mechanism that sets Santa's Christmas helpers in motion, but also in its limited mintage. Only 1,200 coins are available worldwide. The Mint of Poland has ensured that this magic will also find its way into your homes.
The interactive 3D coin will be a fantastic Christmas gift for both young collectors and those young at heart who love the festive atmosphere.
COIN DESIGN 5 oz silver coin – Christmas gifts
The reverse of the coin, designed by Ryan Poser, features 3D elements in the form of Santa Claus sitting among gifts, looking through a list of children, and his happy helpers, who are supervising every stage of the Christmas preparations. The magic happens when you tilt the coin – then you can see the elves moving. Around these figures is a Christmas garland with baubles and ribbons, made even more special by its gold plating. The edge of the coin is also gold-plated.
The obverse features a gold-plated image of Queen Elizabeth II. The background for the figure is a maple leaf, characteristic of Canada, with small leaves arranged in an elegant pattern. Around the portrait are the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II," "D.G. REGINA," and the coin's face value of 50 dollars.
