WHAT WOULD MOST YOUNG COUPLES LIKE TO RECEIVE AS A GIFT?

Most often, cash. I don't know any newlyweds who, when talking about the costs of their wedding, would not say: "it paid for itself." A wedding is such a big expense that most future newlyweds hope that the gifts they receive will cover the costs of the reception. Considering that these costs often reach the value of a new car, it is not surprising.

For most of my friends, it was a real godsend. That was also the case for me. We used the gifts we received the very next day to pay for the wedding. Several guests gave us money in foreign currency. It had its charm. We decided that it wasn't worth exchanging it for zlotys, but better to save it for our honeymoon. Another interesting gift I remember was an invitation to a restaurant for dinner for two.

IS IT OK TO GIVE AN ENVELOPE WITH MONEY AS A GIFT?

To be honest, apart from wine, I didn't receive a single gift that I would use. If you don't know the bride and groom's preferences well, cash in one form or another is a really good idea. And if you don't want to give money in an envelope, an elegant solution is to give a gold bar or coin. Wouldn't it be a unique gift to give the newlyweds a decorative pouch filled with gold coins?
