The period leading up to Christmas is a special time, full of magic and joyful anticipation. It is during this period that we show greater than usual tenderness and empathy towards the fate and stories of other people, whose life twists and turns have sometimes led them into social oblivion. Such people are the charges of the Brotherhood of Mercy of St. Brother Albert.
Not far from the Mint of the Treasury branch in Lublin, there is a place on the map of Poland that surrounds those who find themselves on the margins of society with special kindness. We are talking about the Brotherhood of Mercy of St. Brother Albert. It is a non-governmental charitable organization that runs a soup kitchen for the most needy, a Support Center for the Homeless, as well as a Social and Professional Activation Center, not to mention the Social Integration Club. In short, it is an organization that, out of the goodness of its heart, cares for those who have long been cast aside by others.
Watching day after day the struggles and heroic fight of the Brotherhood for a better tomorrow for each of its charges, Mennica Skarbowa decided to support their activities. The company donated PLN 3,000 to the organization for the purchase of COVID-19 tests for the charges of the Brotherhood of Mercy. We are glad that we were able to help once again. It is worth remembering that sometimes you can show your big heart without even leaving your home.
It is good to be able to share with others. Let the approaching Christmas encourage us all to reflect on whether there is someone close to us who is particularly in need of help today, especially in the era of the pandemic. Only together can we make everyday life brighter.
