As of December 31, gold prices fell by 2.2% compared to the end of November, reaching USD 1,676 per ounce. The trend of strengthening of the Polish currency, which has continued since May, unfortunately has a negative impact on Polish investors buying precious metals. In December, when the zloty strengthened by 1.9%, gold prices fell to PLN 5,186 per ounce, down 4.1% from the previous month.
