The last year has been very difficult for all of us. It has made us realize how important it is to share kind words, neighborly help, verbal and nonverbal support—both tangible and spiritual—with others. We have had to live and function in a new reality, where conditions are dictated by COVID-19.
The coronavirus pandemic has contributed to the deterioration of the financial condition of many entities and enterprises. The same is true for those that provide assistance to others. Due to the epidemiological situation, costs have begun to multiply, and educational and care facilities require a lot of additional financial outlays. In many cases, even planned expenses have become impossible to cover. That is why, in December last year, Mennica Skarbowa donated PLN 5,000 to the "Swoboda" Family Support Center.
This is the second such donation from the Company to this entity (more on this topic can be found here). Due to the specific purpose for which the payment was made, it was necessary to be patient with the finalization of the entire project.
Today, we can celebrate our success together. The Swoboda Center used the donation to purchase a new car trailer. Why was this so important? So that the children could enjoy their trips together even more. Thanks to the trailer, the children going on trips will be able to take with them bicycles, scooters, extra luggage, and equipment that will make their active leisure time more enjoyable.
On the eve of Children's Day, we are delighted that we were able to once again bring smiles to people's faces and give them a little joy. Today, we can confidently say that helping others is now permanently embedded in our company's DNA.
