Have you ever wondered where the most famous, classic engagement ring design came from? This delicate ring with a prominent diamond was created over a century ago by Charles Lewis Tiffany, co-founder of the American jewelry company Tiffany & Co. (mainly associated with the famous film starring Audrey Hepburn, "Breakfast at Tiffany's").

Charles Lewis Tiffany decided that an exceptional diamond deserved a setting to match. He placed the stone in a six-prong setting, allowing the diamond to be displayed in such a way that its brilliance could be fully appreciated. This is how The Tiffany® Setting was created – the world's most popular engagement ring, known as the ring of rings. The Tiffany® Setting engagement rings are still made today from gold or platinum according to a design created over a century ago.

Since then, the ring has been copied many times and continues to be a source of inspiration. Most jewelers offer engagement rings based on this model.
